UPDATE: Mike completed this extraordinary feat and raised over £1,700 for Zoe's Place Baby Hospice in the process. Good going, and a wholehearted 'thank you to everyone who supported the run!

Back in 2016, club member and team player Mike Reid ran his first ultra marathon and raised nearly £2,000 for Zoe's Place Baby Hospice, a fabulous charity close to Mike's heart.
Mike says...
"In these unprecedented times we all have had to make many changes but the support for special places such as Zoë’s Place still needs to come in, which sadly at present it is not. I would like to emulate that 100km run that I did back in 2016 but this time in my back garden.
Next weekend I plan to run for 100km in one go and would like to raise money, be it a little or a lot.
I will never forget the guided tour I had through the hospice in 2016, the work they do is truly remarkable offering end of life care to the children and families of the midlands.
If you can spare a pound or two to spur me on and make a difference I would be eternally grateful, the work these guys do is just so special words don’t really do it justice.
I haven’t ran this distance in a while but I’m determined to complete it!
Personally I think Mike is under-selling this somewhat. 100km is a ridiculous distance to run at any point, let alone within the confines of one's garden!
If his efforts are not worth a few pounds sponsorship then I'm not sure what is. Please give generously by sponsoring Mike here at his JustGiving page.
