The 2026 HSRC Competition Finals took place on Saturday 4th July, bringing together members and friends for a day of competitive squash and racketball.
After weeks of close-fought competition, the finalists battled it out across the various categories, producing some entertaining matches and crowning this year's club champions.
Their were notable performances throughout the evening, particularly a fantastic five set thriller between Hazel Webb and Marnie Parratt in the Ladies Squash final, and Heath Jennings rolling back the years to dictate terms in the Squash Handicap final and get the family name back on the Honours Boards after a decade's absence. As in previous years the Duracell bunnies Andy Beel and Dave Wood seemed to take part in most of the finals being played, and James and Jackson Bowden took home what must now be a brimming drinks cabinet of glass-ware for their endeavours. What a final they produced!
All of our winners will shortly experience the pride of seeing their names added to the club's Honours Boards on the entrance staircase, joining the long list of players who have helped shape the club's history over the years. Congratulations to everyone who took part.

A huge thank you goes to Tim Parratt for once again organising the club's annual competitions and ensuring another successful tournament. Thanks also to everyone who supported the evening, whether by competing, officiating, helping behind the scenes and at the bar, or simply coming along to cheer on the finalists.
Until next year!
