Leicestershire Racketball County Closed Championship 2026

Saturday 7th March

It's a bit chilly out there of late, so here's something to warm up you big ballers.

We are proud to be once again hosting the Leicestershire Racketball County Closed Championship - a one-day tournament that anyone who is a member of a Leicestershire-based club can enter for a shot at glory and the chance to see their name etched into the prestigious trophy.

As we'll be opening our doors to the wider racketball community, this is a rare chance to play a variety of new people at our home venue.

As in previous years, there are multiple grades that you can enter:

  • A GRADE - COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP
  • B GRADE - ALL PLAYERS WELCOME
  • OVER 40’s
  • OVER 50’s
  • OVER 60’s
  • DOUBLES

It will cost you only £10.00 for your first grade entered, then £5.00 for a second choice. Tournament t-shirts can also be purchased when booking on at an optional additional cost of £10.00.

You'll get a minimum of two games per grade, there will be food offers available on the day, and it's basically a thoroughly good day out. No prizes to be won apart from the begrudging respect of your fellow competitiors.

Wooden Rackets Tournament 2026

Saturday January 24th 2026

A quick reminder for the return of our annual afternoon competition to test your prowess with a wooden wand.

We don't have many sign-ups on the noticeboard as of today, so please write your name on pronto or reply to this email to confirm your involvement and I'll add you to the list.

  • Sign-up on the noticeboard sheet to take part in this timber-based spectacular.
  • Wooden rackets are provided. These have outlived their original owners.
  • Fancy-dress is encouraged, especially for better players, but is not mandatory.
  • Games will take place across the afternoon.

See you there, fashionistas!

Get involved in your club!

We want to remain a volunteer-run to keep your fees low. Can you dedicate an hour a week to help us?

Our club operates on a ‘Not For Profit’ basis, with most day-to-day running undertaken by volunteers and members of our committee. This support helps in keeping membership and court fees much lower than other squash clubs, with arguably superior facilities.

From time to time we will put the word out if we require the help in a particular department, but in general terms if you would like to get involved and offer a little of your free time to progress the club please send us a message here.
