Introducing the Hinckley Racketball Open 2025

Saturday 13th September

Okay, we get it. It's a bit hot to be on court at the moment, and you've got holidays to think about. But if I may take two minutes of your time, it's time to tell you about the upcoming Hinckley Racketball Open.

A one-day tournament much in the same vein as our popular Squash Open, we are opening our doors to the wider racketball world in a day of friendly competition in a range of grades.

  • A Grade (12 places)
  • B Grade (12 places)
  • Ladies (6 places)
  • Over 40s (8 places)
  • Over 50s (8 places)
  • Over 60s (8 places)
  • Fun Doubles (6 teams)

Each grade will get a minimum of three games throughout the day. We are not sure about the format of the Fun Doubles yet, it'll be dependant on participation.

Cost
£20 per grade entered, which includes your own tournament t-shirt (or a choice of vest or t-shirt for ladies). If you want to play Doubles in addition that's an extra £5.

Prizes
Winner of each grade receives £50, with £25 to the runner-ups, with the exception of doubles where you win nothing but respect!

Date
Saturday 13th September. Start time TBC.

Sponsor
A massive "thank you" to The Recuitment Station for sponsoring the Hinckley Racketball Open 2025. The Recruitment Station is a local business that specialises in finding the right talent for your business and placing quality candidates in great roles. Their sponsorship helps greatly in making this event viable, so we are thrilled that they have come on board to ensure this tournament hits the ground running in its first year.

July Squash & Racketball Box Leagues

Just a quick note to remind you that the squash and racketball box leagues is a single month for July. I appreciate it's holiday season, but it's worked well in previous years as it mixes up the order a bit. Only the lucky few who are on holiday for two months will really get punished!

Event Calendar 2025

We've got a lot going on this year as we celebrate our 10th year at Maple Drive and our 90th year as a club. More details will follow in due course, but for now just save the dates!

Get involved in your club!

We want to remain a volunteer-run to keep your fees low. Can you dedicate an hour a week to help us?

Our club operates on a ‘Not For Profit’ basis, with most day-to-day running undertaken by volunteers and members of our committee. This support helps in keeping membership and court fees much lower than other squash clubs, with arguably superior facilities.

From time to time we will put the word out if we require the help in a particular department, but in general terms if you would like to get involved and offer a little of your free time to progress the club please send us a message here.
