Introducing The Hinckley Squash Charity Cup 2025
|
Sign-up quick before we announce to other clubs!
|
The Hinckley Squash Charity Cup is a brand-new one-day tournament taking place on Saturday 14th June, from the man who brings us the Hinckley Open every year, fourth team captain, Brad Wells. Not to be confused with our Hinckley Open squash tournament that takes place in November, this new event may utilise a similar graded setup and multiple games across the day, but it then differs greatly by adding in the the wild-card element of fines. We're aiming for fun and friendly competition, where players who are fined have to complete forfeits of their choosing or make a contribution to the charity fund. In lieu of a traditional handicap system, additional refs will be on hand to ensure that either awful or exceptional play is suitably fined. Speaking of charity, for the first year of this competition we are donating all proceeds from the day to Leicester Community First Responders. These volunteers contribute greatly to our community, giving up their spare time to respond to medical emergencies on behalf of East Midlands Ambulance Service. Grades you can enter: - A-GRADE - LEVEL 4000+ (8 places)
- B-GRADE - LEVEL 2500 - 3999 (16 places)
- C-GRADE - LEVEL 801 - 2499 (16 places)
- D-GRADE - LEVEL 0 - 800 (8 places)
- LADIES-ONLY - ALL LEVELS (8 places)
The entry fee is £25 including a snazzy t-shirt, or £15 to enter without the need for a t-shirt (an automatic fine, I'd say). If you have any questions, send Brad Wells a message on 07552 236 065. We'll be inviting players from other clubs to join us from Tuesday, so book your place quickly to avoid disappointment! And don't forget to bring petty cash.

Double Month Squash & Racketball Box Leagues
|
It's going to be a busy month or two at HSRC, with the Dinosaurs Leagues, Club Comps and the upcoming PSA Challenger Tournament all putting pressure on the available court time. With that in mind I've taken the executive decision to keep the leagues up across both May and June to give you more time to get your games played. No excuses for not getting them all in now! Thanks, Alan.

Get involved in your club!
|
We want to remain a volunteer-run to keep your fees low. Can you dedicate an hour a week to help us?
|
Our club operates on a ‘Not For Profit’ basis, with most day-to-day running undertaken by volunteers and members of our committee. This support helps in keeping membership and court fees much lower than other squash clubs, with arguably superior facilities.
From time to time we will put the word out if we require the help in a particular department, but in general terms if you would like to get involved and offer a little of your free time to progress the club please send us a message here.
