Latest news, events, and updates from Hinckley Squash & Racketball Club

Join us for Christmas Club Night This Friday!

Would you like to join us for a bash and a meal, a succulent chinese meal?

With the festive season upon us, we are doing something a little bit different for the friday club nights on Friday 19th December, and Friday 26th December. The courts will be available from 6.00pm as normal for all of your squashing and racketballing needs, but then afterwards...

On Friday 19th December we are going to order in a Chinese buffet at a cost of £15 per head. We will order as a group on the night so just bring cash if you want to partake in these delicacies from the orient.

On Friday 26th December we will be having 'leftovers night' where you are welcome to bring a plate of anything that you have left over from your Christmas celebrations, to be presented at the bar for anyone who's peckish.

On both evenings you are still more than welcome to come along even if you don't have leftovers or want to have the chinese buffet. Food is not compulsory! It's all about being social and supporting the bar... your presence is the most important thing!

Also a quick notice to say that the paid bar staff will be stood down over Christmas with the last night being Friday 19th December until Monday 5th January. Bar volunteers may wish to open the bar from 8.00pm for their usual shifts over the festive break, but this is not mandatory.

Hinckley Squash on Tour June 2026

Schmoke and a stroke, anyone?

Read on if you fancy the chance to test your silky squash skills out on the continent.

The Frans Otten Cup is a two day graded squash open tournament taking place over the weekend of 20th-21st June 2026 at the Frans Otten sports centre in Amsterdam. As another squash club located next to a canal, we're thinking of sending a delegation!

Our squash fourth team captain Zak Potter had a great time at this event earlier this year, and has made it his personal mission to invite others along in 2026.

Group arrangements (19th to 23rd June 2026) and more to follow in due course depending on uptake, but if you like the sound of a weekend of friendly competition at a wonderful, newly refurbished 21-court squash centre in one of Europe's most vibrant cities, then reserve your place with the organiser using the link below.

Please then let Zak know you've done this on ‭07904 955447‬ and add your name onto the noticeboard sign-up sheet that will be up on the board from Thursday night. We'll then keep you posted about the arrangements as we finalise them.

Reserve Your Place!

Get involved in your club!

We want to remain a volunteer-run to keep your fees low. Can you dedicate an hour a week to help us?

Our club operates on a ‘Not For Profit’ basis, with most day-to-day running undertaken by volunteers and members of our committee. This support helps in keeping membership and court fees much lower than other squash clubs, with arguably superior facilities.

From time to time we will put the word out if we require the help in a particular department, but in general terms if you would like to get involved and offer a little of your free time to progress the club please send us a message here.
