90th Anniversary Exhibition - Day Schedule

With our 90th birthday exhibition just 48 or so hours away we wanted to get in touch with some final details ahead of the day.

The club is going to be at maximum capacity for this very special event and we’re all excited to welcome you to share in what will be some breathtaking squash. Sadly, Lucy Turmel has had to withdraw owing to injury, but Grace Gear (WR #39 and European Team Gold Winner) is stepping in to play Alicia.

Please Note: Tickets are now sold out and we are at capacity for the event, so unfortunately this is one of the very rare occasions when we cannot give you access to the club unless you're on the list as it's very important we comply with fire regulations.

Getting your Wristbands

When you arrive at the club, please make yourself known at the bar. The team will tick you off the list and present you with a wristband for the evening. This serves two purposes... it lets everyone else know you’ve bought a ticket and lets the caterers know you’re due some pizza when you come to collect!

Timings

  • 14:00-15:20 – Junior Clinics
  • 15:20-17:05 – Play-A-Pro
  • 17:20 – Alicia and Grace welcomed to court
  • 18:40 approx. – Rhys and Nick welcomed to court
  • Q&A to follow along with a word from our Chairman

Food

There has been a change to the timings originally communicated regarding food. Pizza will be available to you (upon presentation of your wristband) from The Hidden Gem Pizza between 18:00-20:00 outside the front of the building. There will be a break between the end of the Alicia vs. Grace exhibition and the start of the Rhys vs. Nick exhibition.

Play-A-Pro

There is still time to submit your bids to Play-A-Pro (submit bids on your choice of pro to comps@hinckleysquash.com). Bids will close midday on Friday 19th September. This will allow us to collect every bid and contact those who are successful, giving them ample time to limber up ahead of their 20 mins of glory!

Seating

As we're running at capacity on the evening, please be considerate when finding a viewing opportunity behind Court 4. Some seating will be reserved for players and sponsors, and in other cases please ensure that people less able to stand are giving priority for seating. You might need to squeeze up a bit too!

Parking

Parking is likely to be at a premium, so please lift-share if you can. Don't be afraid to park in the Screwfix and KFC car parks, but we obviously don't want to disturb their operations more than necessary so please use your judgement as to the exact location where you leave your car.

Raffle Tickets

Tickets will be on sale throughout the day with the draw being made following the Q&A and a word from our Chairman. They will be £5.00 a strip and you can pay with cash, or using your fob at the bar.

We look forward to seeing you all there!

Finally, big thanks go to club member Neil Tuite, whose generous sponsorship of this event has enabled it to feature the A-listers above. His company, Aaron Sandford Cars, pride themselves on offering quality used cars you can trust — at prices that make sense. You can visit them just around the corner from us at 2 Nutts Lane Industrial. Estate, Hinckley (LE10 3EJ). Thanks Neil!

Get involved in your club!

We want to remain a volunteer-run to keep your fees low. Can you dedicate an hour a week to help us?

Our club operates on a ‘Not For Profit’ basis, with most day-to-day running undertaken by volunteers and members of our committee. This support helps in keeping membership and court fees much lower than other squash clubs, with arguably superior facilities.

From time to time we will put the word out if we require the help in a particular department, but in general terms if you would like to get involved and offer a little of your free time to progress the club please send us a message here.
